Minor Surgery in Lancashire: Skin lesions such as moles, warts, skin tags and blemishes are usually completely harmless, but they can look icky in appearance.
At CAREFORSKIN we see a wide variety of skin imperfections. After all, the skin is the largest organ of the body and goes through a lot to protect us, so it’s not surprising that it won’t be one hundred percent flawless from head to toe.
Many people however will go through life putting up with these unsightly lumps, bumps, marks and blemishes, but the truth is, it’s doesn’t take major surgery to get them removed. At CAREFORSKIN we have the knowledge, skills and technology to remove skin lesions with minor surgery, quickly and effectively.
Moles can be removed in a number of ways. Here at CAREFORSKIN we can use laser removal, shaving them away using a surgical scalpel or excising them (cutting them out of the skin).
Mole removal is done under a local anaesthetic and you are able to return to your daily activities immediately afterwards, providing you follow specific aftercare instructions.
Skin Tag Removal
Similar to moles, skin tags are skin coloured or brown lesions which protrude from the skin.
They tend to appear in areas where there is friction, such as under the arms, around the collar area of the neck and in the groin area. Although harmless, skin tags can catch and snag on clothing, making them bleed and cause discomfort. We can use the same methods as with moles, to permanently remove skin tags safely and effectively.
These are white or yellowish bumps which can be seen mostly on the face, usually around or under the eyes. They consist of keratin, a protein which helps the skin look youthful. When a build-up of keratin occurs, milia can form. Milia can be removed using excision, laser removal and the use of dermal peels.
Minor Surgery for Warts
These can appear anywhere on the body but are most seen on the feet (verrucas) and on the hands. Warts are small, benign growths which are caused by a virus which is permanently present within the body. Treatment includes nitrogen freezing in a course of treatments as well as excision or laser techniques.
Sun-spots, age-spots and blemishes come in all shapes and sizes. Here at CAREFORSKIN we can use a range of dermal peels, laser treatment and topical applications to reduce or remove skin blemishes. Depending on the blemish, your practitioner will decide which course of action to take.
CryoPen Skin Lesion Treatment
Using our advanced cryotherapy device, CryoPen, we can treat a range of skin lesions using freezing. CryoPen is a fast, safe and effective solution, which painlessly removes benign lumps and bumps. Pinpoint accuracy means we can freeze and remove troublesome skin lesions without causing any damage to the surrounding, healthy tissues.
Your Minor Surgery
Before treatment can take place, we will ask that you attend a no obligation consultation with our clinical director, Dr Sobia Syed, so that she can determine the best possible treatment, appropriate for your individual needs. You may need to have a course of treatment for your specific concern and this will be discussed with you in your consultation.
Skin lesions, blemishes and marks don’t have to be something you must put up with. At CAREFORSKIN we aim to produce beautiful results for flawless skin.
