Three areas Botox: If you have an interest in cosmetic medicine for anti-aging, it’s most likely you’ll know about Botox facial injections and how these can temporarily smooth dynamic lines on the face. What you may not be aware of is how Botox works and where it works best on the face. Here at CAREFORSKIN in Clitheroe, Lancashire, we like to ensure that all our patients are well-informed on the range of injectable treatments we offer, so that you can make a sensible decision on whether the treatment is for you.
Three areas Botox Lancashire: what are they?
There are three main areas for Botox injections and these include the areas where expression lines are most prominent. These are the Crow’s feet (lines around the eyes), the forehead and Glabellar lines – the vertical lines that can appear between the eyebrows, also known as ‘elevens’.
These can consist of fine or deeper set lines situated at the outer edges of your eyes. Many people start to experience crow’s feet when they smile and deepen drastically with age as skin loses elasticity.
If you are a woman with crow’s feet, a small amount of product may be all that is needed to soften them.
Men usually need a larger dose of Botox in this area due to the strength of their facial muscles, however, everyone is different and treatment will be tailor-made to your individual facial morphology.
If you have spent many years experiencing a wide-range of emotions in your life, you’re not alone! And this can take a toll on our appearance. Raising and lowering your eyebrows can create significant forehead lines and this is part of the natural ageing process. However, these lines can cause us to look older than our years.
If you can’t disguise them with a heavy cut fringe, Botox in this area can achieve a smoother appearance. However, it’s worth considering that you may also need to have your eyebrows treated to avoid an eyebrow ‘droop’ with Botox injections for forehead lines. The muscles of the forehead are very strong in some instances and in relaxing them, can cause them to push down on the eyebrows.
Dr Syed will ascertain your own facial structure and advise on the best course of treatment for your forehead lines.
These lines can become more pronounced with ageing and are vertical lines than fall directly between your eyebrows, sitting at the top of your nose. If Botox is applied in this area, it should not prevent the eyebrows from raising if injected correctly and Dr Sobia is an expert in the field of cosmetic injectables using Botox.
Does Botox treat every facial concern?
There are of course, several areas where Botox injections will improve the look of dynamic expression lines and wrinkles. However, the most typical use of toxin injections tends to be in the upper facial areas. Some people get confused between Botox (or wrinkle-smoothing injections) and dermal fillers. Dermal fillers are different from Botox as they plump and fill out lines and add volume to the face and these are mostly used in the mid to lower face.
Botox injections are a superb way to smooth out your expression lines and wrinkles for a naturally youthful look.
